Suesan began working in community relations and support while working as a project coordinator for the former mayor of Toronto, David Crombie, at the Waterfront Regeneration Trust. In 1996, she was invited to join the seed team of the Toronto 2008 Olympic Bid where she once again spent time building and supporting the stakeholder groups and interested citizens at the community level. Returning to her hometown of Ottawa at the cusp of the new millennium also meant a change in focus and an opportunity to work in management training and development. It was then that she met and began working with PickupPal co-founder Eric Dewhirst and his colleagues. The community relations work she now performs for PickupPal is near and dear to her. It is the culmination of a 16-year career and gives her the opportunity to synthesize her skills and experience in marketing, grassroots community-building, environmental stewardship, customer service and internet tools and services into a challenging and inspiring multifaceted job. She is the proud mother of two cool boys and the partner of a hyper-cool man who supports her in every crazy thing that she does. She writes, runs and travels whenever she can spare the time.
