Welcome to PickupPal!

I've been having fun as an entrepreneur in the Internet space going on 20 years now. PickupPal was hatched while I sat stuck in traffic and wondering how all these vehicles could be harnessed to be more efficient instead of just the one-driver, one route function. I began to imagine a scenario wherein each vehicle was a transportation unit and everyone seeking a ride was a unique participant in a virtual 'transportation marketplace'.

I also realized that this transportation marketplace had the potential to be one of the largest Internet sites ever, given the over half a billion private vehicles that ply the roads in Europe and North America.

Together with my good friend and past Internet partner Eric Dewhirst, we huddled together and brain-stormed to produce what is today PickupPal. We firmly believe it will change the way people think about their own private transportation and will aid in reducing green-house gases and road congestion in our car-saturated cities.
